SIALKOT: Two people have been killed in a firing incident during a by-election in Daska.

 Earlier, four persons were injured in a firing incident at a polling station at Daska Tehsil near Ranjhai stop in Gondka village.

The Civil Hospital administration told Hum News that the condition of one of the injured was critical.

Before firing at the polling station, two motorcyclists also opened fire in the open on GT Road, which created a tense atmosphere.

It may be recalled that polling is underway for the by-elections on four vacant seats in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Polling is underway in NA-75 Daska and NA-45 Kurram of the National Assembly, while in PP-51 Wazirabad and PK-63 Nowshera of the Provincial Assemblies, citizens are also exercising their franchise.
